Table / Lap Stands

Thanks to my elbow injury, I've come to realize that I'm most likely going to have to break down and get myself some sort of stand to do stitching with for the long run. I hold my work in my left arm, my preferred sort of way due to my wonky eyesight (astigmatism in one eye, near sighted in the other, get to wear bifocals and 5x clip-on magnifiers to stitch with - personal preference) to hold my work up close as I don't have a magnifying lamp and regular floor stands force me to lean forward too much (I guess I am too tall or something).

So I've been looking around for a reasonable (economical) solution and have come across what I like the best for now - Lacis Tambour 10" Round Tablestand:

I know Clover has one that clamps on to a table but it has only a 7" working space vs. the 10" space and I like that I can put the Tambour frame on my lap or on a tv tray or table and it rotates 360*, which will make it nice that I can use it to stitch with mainly my left hand if need be. One other thing is that I've been to Lacis a few times in person. It is a small shop but oh, if you love needlework and lacework and things of that nature, oh my....

Here is a review of the Tambour frame by Mary Corbet - I've also asked some fellow stitchers and some really enjoy using theirs for regular stitching.

In the future, I am thinking of also getting a Needle Needs Aristo Stand - a table stand version of their floor stand - which would be wonderful and the price isn't all that bad either!  Here is a video review on it by Nicola Parkman:
So, hopefully within the next few months, I will be getting these and be able to slowly get back into stitching. I get to start physical therapy on my arm this coming week and am not looking forward to it. Blech!
